# Edit Your REG121 Site: AI Chat and Point-and-Click

> Discover the two ways to edit your REG121 site — describe changes in plain English with the AI editor, or click directly on any element to update it.

Once your site is live, keeping it up to date is straightforward. REG121 gives you two editing modes to choose from depending on what you need to change. You can switch between them at any time — there's no wrong choice.

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="AI Chat Editor">
    The **AI Chat Editor** lets you describe a change in plain English and REG121 makes it happen. You don't need to click around looking for the right setting — just type what you want.

    **How it works:**

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Open the AI Chat Editor">
        Inside your site editor, click the **Chat** icon in the toolbar to open the AI assistant panel.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Describe what you want to change">
        Type your request in plain English. For example:

        * *"Change the hero headline to say 'Family Dentistry in Austin'"*
        * *"Add a new section about our weekend hours after the contact form"*
        * *"Make the About page sound more friendly and casual"*
      </Step>

      <Step title="Review the preview">
        REG121 applies the change and shows you a live preview. If you like it, confirm it. If not, ask for adjustments or undo it entirely.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Save and publish">
        Once you're happy, save the change. You can publish immediately or continue making edits before going live.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    **Best for:**

    * Rewriting or restructuring whole sections of copy
    * Adding new pages or content blocks
    * Changing the tone or style of your writing
    * Any change that's easier to describe in words than to do by hand

    <Tip>
      When writing your request, be as specific as possible. Instead of *"update the homepage"*, try *"replace the first paragraph on the homepage with a two-sentence summary of our 20 years of experience"*. The more detail you give, the better the result.
    </Tip>
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Point-and-Click Editor">
    The **Point-and-Click Editor** lets you edit your site the way you'd edit a document — click on anything you see and change it directly. No descriptions needed.

    **How it works:**

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Open the Point-and-Click Editor">
        Inside your site editor, make sure you're in **Visual Edit** mode (the default view when you open your site).
      </Step>

      <Step title="Click on the element you want to edit">
        Hover over any part of your site — a headline, a paragraph, an image, a button, or a colour block — and click on it. An edit toolbar appears.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Make your change">
        Depending on what you clicked, you can:

        * **Text**: Type directly to update the wording
        * **Images**: Click **Replace** to upload a new photo
        * **Colours**: Pick a new colour from the palette
        * **Layout**: Drag elements to reorder them
      </Step>

      <Step title="Save and publish">
        Your changes are saved as you work. Click **Publish** when you're ready to make them live.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    **Best for:**

    * Fixing a typo or updating a phone number
    * Swapping out a photo
    * Tweaking a button label or link
    * Quick, targeted changes where you know exactly what to click

    <Tip>
      Not sure which mode to use? A good rule of thumb: if the change involves more than a sentence or two of content, the AI Chat Editor is usually faster. For quick fixes — a word, an image, a colour — Point-and-Click is the way to go.
